Source transparency
Profiles distinguish core company fields from available public-source details where the application stores them separately.
Data Transparency
Scentla organizes publicly available and company-submitted information about software companies in Pakistan. This page explains how company identities, business details, data sources, profile updates and directory-quality decisions are handled.
Verification of selected information does not represent an endorsement, recommendation or guarantee of a company's services.
Principles
Scentla aims to publish useful company information without presenting uncertain assumptions as facts.
Profiles distinguish core company fields from available public-source details where the application stores them separately.
External details should be connected to the right company identity before they are displayed.
Individual fields can have different evidence strength, even when the current database does not store a full provenance status for every field.
Unavailable information remains blank instead of being filled with generated or unsupported text.
Potential duplicate slugs, similar identities and external-name conflicts are treated as quality concerns for profile indexing.
Verified Profile language applies to selected identity or business details, not service quality or commercial suitability.
Sources
Company information may come from existing internal directory records, official company websites, public company profiles, public business and location information, company-submitted listing requests and correction or claim requests.
Source availability differs by company. Public information can be incomplete, outdated or inconsistent, so Scentla does not treat any public source as automatically accurate.
References to third-party platforms describe publicly available source categories and do not imply sponsorship, endorsement or partnership.
Matching
Scentla may compare multiple identity signals before combining information from different sources. Records with conflicting domains, locations or identifiers should not be merged automatically.
Normalization
Scentla uses normalized names for comparison, search and duplicate detection. The application handles whitespace, capitalization, punctuation and common legal suffixes such as Pvt Ltd, Private Limited, Limited and Ltd in different parts of the import, SEO and listing workflow.
Normalization is used for comparison and display consistency; it does not determine or replace a company's registered legal name.
Fields
The current application stores core company records and separate public-source detail records. It does not yet store a full provenance status for every individual field.
| Field area | Current handling |
|---|---|
| Name, website, phone, email and address | Stored on the core company record, with additional public-source values available from Google or LinkedIn detail records when present. |
| City and province | Stored through city and province relationships; listing requests can create location-review work when a city is not already listed. |
| Services and technologies | Stored through relationship tables and used for search, profile display and profile-completeness signals. |
| Industry, founding year, employee range and social profiles | Stored when public LinkedIn-style detail records are available; values can be time-sensitive and incomplete. |
Conflicts
When stronger evidence is unavailable, Scentla avoids fabricating missing values. Existing information may remain until a stronger source, approved listing request or correction provides better evidence.
Conflicting information may be withheld from canonical profile signals. Sparse, inactive, duplicate or unresolved profiles can be kept out of indexable company-profile output by the SEO indexability evaluator.
Automation
Automation helps organize information, normalize fields, identify candidate matches, detect possible duplicates, extract structured values during imports and prepare records for publication.
Automation helps organize information but does not make every extracted value correct. Records or fields that cannot be matched confidently should remain unresolved or unpublished.
Experimental enrichment scripts are not presented as a real-time production verification source on this page.
Verification
A Verified Profile indicates that selected company identity or business details have been checked against available sources or confirmed through an approved company process. Verification does not evaluate service quality, financial stability, legal compliance or project performance, and it does not represent an endorsement by Scentla.
In the current application, is_verified is a company-level flag available in admin workflows and public display. The database does not yet store a complete per-field verification history for every profile detail.
Completeness
Complete, active and sufficiently informative profiles may be indexable. Sparse records may remain accessible but use noindex, and inactive records are not served as public company profiles.
Empty fields are omitted or displayed neutrally instead of being filled with generated text. The company profile SEO evaluator considers active status, slug validity, duplicate identity risk, identity conflicts and the availability of public business information.
Display
Search results can use relevance, name, rating or review-count sorting depending on available search modules and user input. Relevance sorting can consider text matches, verified status and available public rating signals.
Featured visibility may reflect profile completeness and the availability of useful public business information such as rating, website, phone and public follower data. It does not represent an independent ranking of company quality.
Scentla does not currently use sponsored placement logic in the public directory. If sponsored visibility is introduced later, it should be clearly labelled.
Freshness
Public company information can change. Profiles can show meaningful last-updated dates based on company and source-detail records where those timestamps are available.
Automated imports, approved company submissions and correction requests may refresh individual fields. Scentla does not promise real-time updates, daily verification or continuous monitoring.
